Yeah, The successor of Wordpress 2.7.1 will be released on 10 June if no bugs are found and its almost conformed as a Post in Wordpress blogs says. Beta version's were out much before.(RC 1 also).Here is a screenshot of Wordpress 2.8 dashboard. Click to enlarge.
